When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead
Reviewed by Alexis Have you ever been confused? Well that is how Miranda felt everyday of her life. At the age of 12 Miranda and Sal knew their way around there neighborhood in New York City. They knew where it was safe to go, like the grocery store, and they know who to avoid, like the crazy guy on the corner who sleeps under the mail box. Everything was going great in their lives until the day Sal got punched. After that day thing started getting strange. Sal blocked Miranda out of his life; she started getting the oddest notes in the most random places, and the spare key her mom keeps in the hall has gone missing. She realizes that whoever is leaving these notes know a lot about her, and things that haven’t even happened yet. Although she is freaked out buy these strange happenings she knows there is more to the note; something that is bigger than her. I really liked this book because I never really could predict the ending. This book would be good for anyone who likes a mystery. I couldn’t put this book down. I put myself in the shoes of Miranda. I felt her pain and I was scared for her.
